12.6 million adults in the UK lack Basic Digital Skills

12.6 million adults, 1.2 million small businesses, and over half of all charities in the UK lack the Basic Digital Skills needed to succeed in today’s digital age.

That’s what the Go ON UK Basic Digital Skills 2015 report, produced in association with Lloyds Banking Group, revealed this week.

At Go ON UK we think this is unacceptable. If the UK is to become the competitive, successful global economy and society that we need it to be, then we urgently need to work together to give everyone the skills they need to participate fully in the digital world.

Which is why Go ON UK has launched the Go ON UK Digital Exclusion Heatmap and Go ON Local Beta, designed to tackle Digital Exclusion and improve Basic Digital Skills across the UK.
