Understanding Social Enterprise
OCN Level 2

This accredited course can be delivered in a series of half day sessions over 6-8 weeks, in 3 weeks with full day sessions or in and intensive 2 day residential. During the course you will:

  • Understand the purpose and function of a social enterprise

  • Be aware of a range of social enterprises

  • Recognise the challenges and opportunities for the development of social enterprises


Understanding Social Enterprise
OCN Level 3

This course is geared towards those who have an idea for a business and want to take it forward.

This accredited course is typically delivered in a series of half day sessions over 10 weeks but other arrangement can be made with trainer if necessary.

At level 3, participants will be expected to:

  • Understand the purpose and impact of own chosen social enterprise

  • Know how to evaluate the viability of a given business.

  • Understand governance and organisational structures.

  • Know what is required for an effective business plan.

  • Know how to create a marketing plan.

  • Know how to develop a plan for finance and investments.

  • Know how to create a plan for growth and development.
