Training news from County Fermanagh: A Successful Collaboration!

Community builders at the ready!

Cavanleck, Hillview and Kilmacormick, Westend and Chanterhill Community Associations have been holding a range of training together in the past year. Community representatives have completed training in Effective Meetings, Successful Fundraising and Money Matters. Some have also recently completed their Level 2 Community Capacity Building course - pictured here receiving their certificates.

Stephanie Kenny-Quinn, Supporting Communities Trainer, commented, "It’s great to see that when community associations organise training they are also inviting and encouraging other groups to attend. Contributions from a larger, more varied group leads to sharing good practice and much more lively training!"

Supporting Communities offers community development training designed to support and encourage groups to achieve their own goals while of course adhering to good governance practice. Siobhan Currie, one of the participants noted, "This training has been invaluable to both me and the community group I work with.  Training alongside older more established groups has also helped me to gain valuable insight into the goals we can have in the future."
