Wind Farm Grants Now Open - areas of benefit are Greysteel, Macosquin, Ballybogey/Dervock, Kells, Monkstown and surrounding areas

These local community funds have been set up by energy companies managing wind farms in various locations in Northern Ireland . These companies are committed to ensuring that their wind farms, whilst having obvious environmental benefits, also provide significant social and economic benefits to the local community where they operate.

The Funds listed below will be administered by the Community Foundation for Northern Ireland and will provide funding for local projects:

  • Dunbeg Community Benefit Fund

  • Monnaboy Community Benefit Fund

  • Carn Hill Community Benefit Fund

  • Corby Knowe Community Benefit Fund

  • Cloonty Community Benefit Fund

Grants are available between £500 and £5000 (amounts vary for each fund). Grants are only awarded to groups within a specific catchment area of each wind farm.
