Cregganconroe Community Benefit Fund - Cappagh, Galbally, Pomeroy, Carrickmore, Kileenan and the Rock areas!

Purpose of the Fund

This local community fund has been set up by Gaelectric, and recently acquired by CGN:A leader in Clean Energy.

The Cregganconroe Community Benefit Fund will be administered by the Community Foundation for Northern Ireland and will provide a fund available for local projects that educate, raise awareness and demonstrate community involvement in work that promotes environmental issues and healthier lifestyles.

Funding will be available to local community projects within a 10km/6 mile radius of the wind farm.  Cregganconroe wind farm is based just off the Loughmallon Road, Pomeroy, Co Tyrone.  The areas located within a 10km radius of the wind farm are largely rural, having a rugged mountaineous terrain within the Sperrin Mountains and comprises dispersed rural settlements including the hamlets and villages of Cappagh, Galbally,  Pomeroy, Carrickmore, Kileenan and the Rock.

The Fund is open for applications on Monday 14th January 2019 and will close for applications on Monday 11th February 2019 at 1:00pm.
